The movie is about a Pakistani character named Javed, He writes poetry to get away from his hometown and his father's obstinate beliefs. When a classmate of he introduces him to Bruce Springsteen's music, Javed draws connections between the singers' stirring lyrics and his own upbringing in the working class. Javed is soon motivated by Springsteen's songs to develop his own style and pursue his goals. This was based in Luton, England in 1987.

The importance of music in developing oneself and growing up is shown by Gurinder Chadha's masterful blending of eras, civilizations, and events. According to the conditions, Bruce Springsteen songs are played at the right moments, giving the drama its full impact. It shows that Bruce must have had challenges, but he persisted, and his observations are still highly relevant in the current climate.

The words and music of Bruce Springsteen encourage Javed and inspire him to alter his perspective and prospects. All of Bruce Springsteen's lyrics are ingrained in every minute. Throughout the movie, he grows more ambitious and self-assured. The picture is flawlessly tied together by the characters' unique hairstyles, vibrant makeup, and colourful clothing, which wonderfully capture the aesthetic of the 1980s.

Overall, I rate the film a 3.5/5 this is because of the representation of Muslims it shows, in terms of the sister of Javed being very calm and chilled with her headscarf on and when it comes to outings she's a totally different person and the person she shows that she is outside of her house it portrays to be "more prettier" and different towards people. This can be contrasted to another show on Netflix called Elite that has a Muslim character that turns out to be gay well knowing the fact that it is against the culture and religion. The ending of BBTL, was very predictable in terms of the father ending up being told about the career and him feeling bad and going up to his son to forgive him.

The movie to me was very relatable as the movie demonstrates all the different types of Asian stereotypes.
