SOUND ANALYSIS BLOG TASKS!

SOUND ANALYSIS: BLOG TASK https://youtu.be/_qu4ZBCU6Fc The main protagonist uses dialogue when he is speaking. non diegetic sound is used when the character is trying to get something but you can’t hear the moment of his struggling but you hear the music playing in the background. This makes the audience to mainly focus on the theme of the movie instead of him struggling or most importantly being home alone at a young age.  Music is played throughout the clip to create the setting of christmas and celebrations

SOUND PRACTICAL TASK!

SOUND PRACTICAL TASK:  https://youtu.be/Dq1D6NYX-3U Description: The first few images i used were about couples in their wedding attire which is mostly a happy thing and one most special thing to ever occur as you are committing to something. I used wedding march music tune to go in the background with this (parallel sound) this then becomes contrapuntal because the images changes to couples having arguments possibly divorcing which opposes the images that were shown at the start. The use of the music and the division of images makes the audience view this in different ways almost confusing the audiences mind because of how the music is same throughout but the images are completely different.

LIGHTING BLOG TASKS!

LIGHTING BLOG TASKS: TASK 1: STILL IMAGE ANALYSIS This image uses lowkey lighting . It uses contrasts of light and dark and creates shadow smoking effects (chiaroscuro) . this image has filler lights which makes the smoke in the poster look elegant by softening the shadow. The key light used in this image is side lighting because the lighting makes the side of the protagonist stand out and look more glamorous this can suggest that the female in the image has been "exposed" from hiding. The lightings used in the image makes the audience question about why the protagonist has facial expressions like that, is she a villain? why is there so much smoke? this is also known as enigma code . The female protagonist is holding a cigarette helps develop the narrative of the story as it suggests that the female character is a villain and involved in action (action code) . This also creates gender stereotypes as a female being the villain is not a not a structuralism view . The

MISE-EN-SCENE BLOG TASK!

Image
MISE-EN-SCENE BLOG TASK: COSTUME:  He is wearing a yellow overall, the type of overall that he is wearing is normally related to a prison outfit which is usually orange which means this relates to crime and law. But because of the title of the image "breaking bad" the 'Br' and 'Ba' are in the form of an element from the periodic table which can indicate that this is a series related to science possibly drugs as the overall could be the uniform of protection in order to make the drugs. Studies also show that yellow is associated with a stimulated effect of drugs. The way he is sitting can indicate a form of hierarchy as if he is looking down upon everyone the text "all hail the kind" links to my analysis.  LIGHTING: The lighting of the poster is dark possibly indicating that the series is about brutal murders and possibly illegal things. "Working in the dark" because I think this series has something to do with drugs, the poster being d
